Experience Our Advanced Technology

Dental technology has advanced to the point that we can perform many procedures either digitally or with lasers. As soon as we mention the word “laser,” you should see how a child’s face lights up! Thanks to the newest tools, we’re able to provide an even higher level of care in less time and with less pain. Thanks to the latest advancements, we can ensure that your child will only experience the best that dentistry has to offer. Below, you can learn a little bit more about some of the tools we use every day.

Digital images on computer screen

Intraoral Camera

This small, camera tipped wand allows us to create high-resolution images of your child’s teeth and gums in real time. We can then display these images on a large chairside monitor. This makes it much easier for our doctor to spot even the subtlest signs of dental problems as well as give you a whole new perspective on your child’s dental care. With this “dentist’s eyes view,” you’ll be able to learn more about your child’s oral health and make more informed treatment decisions. Plus, children are just fascinated by the images as well!

Digital X-Rays

In the past, x-rays were made out of film and had a number of concerning drawbacks. Namely, they required quite a bit of time to develop images, the process used highly toxic chemicals, and they also exposed patients to radiation.

Thanks to our new digital x-ray machine, these are now all problems of the past! It can create images almost instantly, no chemicals are necessary, and even better, it emits up to 90% less radiation!

Hand holding a local anesthesia tool

The Wand

Our patients typically appreciate it when we numb their mouths in order to prevent them from feeling any discomfort. However, you know what they don’t like?... The “shot” necessary to administer it! Thanks to the Wand, we’re able to apply anesthetic in a way that doesn’t use large needles. It works by numbing your child’s mouth slightly before the anesthesia is administered, and then it applies it so slowly that your child will barely feel that anything is happening. Basically, with the Wand, your child can go through an entire dental procedure without feeling a single thing.
